Leprechauns

Oh I can tell the holidays are going to start to get really exciting around our house! McKay could not wait to see if the leprechauns would stop at our house this year. For the past few weeks he has been saving his quarters for a plane ride to Ireland. He showed me his homemade water bottle piggy bank and asked if it was full enough to get tickets yet! We have taken an extra few minutes to get home from school everyday because he has to stop and search for a 4 leafed clover in the grassy hill at the school. His bed time stories (inspired by his Grandfather's mirror land stories) have revolved around Gookin's (a.k.a McKay's friend in the mirror) adventures meeting the leprechauns. Anyway, the list goes on and on. So this morning he was ecstatic to wake up to the downstairs in total disarray. But that was only the beginning. The leprechauns not only came to our house but to his classroom at school too. They left some lucky charms and green tic-tacs at home but at school they left footprints and a bag of gold filled with chocolate. And the music teacher dressed up as a leprechaun. Now that's cool! McKay had to stop everyone we saw today and give a play by play of what had happened up to that point. And this is only St. Patrick's Day. I can't wait for Easter!
I think Lyla and Jacobson had a great day wearing green. Lyla liked the tic-tacs too. Just wait until all 3 kids are saving for Ireland. We are going to have fun with these holidays!
