Thoughts

Today was a long day. The past few nights we've been going to bed way too late and waking up way too early and it's starting to catch up with me. At about 7pm I could have hit my pillow and conked out for the night. And I should have once the kids were down but here I am. Past midnight. Still dinkin around. There just are not enough hours in a day. I have had so much on my mind lately and can't seem make enough time to write it down or make much sense of it. But I'm determined to fix that. This year I've been focusing on organization. Organizing my thoughts, my goals, my time, my pictures, my bathroom drawers, my kids socks, you name it.

But that is a different topic for a different day. Today, like every other day, I have been blown away at how fast our kids are going up (Noah and I are growing up too. We are-well I should speak for myself-I am- finally trying to get responsible). These weeks and months are flying by and I just can't slow down the time. And I just can't believe how much I can relate to all the people who have said that before.  Where does it go? The time I mean. It just goes and goes. Anyway, I'm going to get off on too many tangents if I stay awake any longer so tonight wanted to just slap up some pictures of my kids that I took today and couldn't wrap my brain around the fact that these are my FOUR babies. But they aren't all babies anymore. How did that happen? I am sitting here shaking my head.

My new born baby now almost 4 months old.

Cubby is almost TWO!!!

And McKay, our SIX year old, has grown up so much this year.

I wasn't planning on keeping any of these pictures. I was just wanting to play around with my camera and tinker with lightroom so I pulled them into the garage and told them to do what ever they wanted while I took pictures. Now I am happy I did because looking at these I feel like I froze them in time for a moment. I froze that McKay LOVES his mickey mouse watch and does not take it off. And that he put on his own tattoo for the first time today right there on his arm. 

Cubby has been bringing this book to me nearly every morning and waking me up by asking me to read it to him. At nap time he insists on bringing a few books in his crib to read. He'll stay up there after he wakes up laying in his crib flipping through books until I go get him.

He also asks for a sucker about every minute (I have to hide them deep in the pantry but man do they ever work well when I need them!).

And also watches every move his siblings make. McKay was a ham today! He is most of the time.

Lyla prefers to leave her bottoms behind most days while we are at home and has been covering herself with band-aids lately. Here she has one on her knee from taking a spill while walking McKay home from school and one beside her eye covering the stitches she got from sliding off the bed.   

 

And I can't keep shoes on these two to save my life. 

McKay has got a huge "window in his mouth" from loosing teeth (I'll post more about that later).

And just one more of little Cubster.

Anyway, I didn't get more of Bennett because he was sleeping but that is on my to do list (another thing i need to organize!). But man do I ever love each one of these kids!

Now I must go take McKay to the bathroom and finally hit that pillow.
