This week is winter break for the schools here so we get to have McKay home with us. We are excited about this and so is he but one of the things he said he is most excited about being here is that he could be my helper for Lyla's Joy school. This is a great week for that because the topic is "Spontaneous Delight." Well the class was really spontaneous and no one showed up today so we held class with just the 3 of us. What a delight, waha! So we did our thing and one of the activities was blowing bubbles with a straw in water and dish soap.
Then just as we finished I got an email from my sister (in Chicago) with these 2 pictures.
We didn't say a word to each other about what we were doing. Her kids are out of school today too and she just had the bubble idea on her own. Anyway, I thought this was so funny. Oh, and after seeing these pictures of their cousins we had to try again with bigger containers to make bigger bubbles. They know how it's done! Here's to blowing bubbles!

How totally amazing! Great sisters think alike!
I'm going to post this on the Valuesparenting blog. Whenever you have pictures of Joy School pass them along. Since we're not doing it anymore it's great to be in touch!
That is crazy?! How funny.
What a fun/easy/inexpensive activity for the kids.
