Sequim

I don't even know what to say about this trip because how can you sum up Jonah and Aja into words? We got to catch these guys right before they moved to Maui. You better believe we will be visiting them over there too. Not because it's Maui (although that's nice) but because Jo and Aja are totally worth a visit where ever they are.

Lyla has had a slight obsession with bald eagles for that past year. She wouldn't go to bed with out telling us at least twice every single night that she saw a bald eagle flying. That lasted for about 9 months, no lie. It eventually evolved into "I saw a pink bald eagle flying" some nights and got more and more colorful. Jonah and Aja would see them in reality where they lived in Washington and call to tell her they saw a real bald eagle flying. So this was a brilliant move by Jonah to take her to see a real (stuffed) bald eagle. She was in awe. A sort of rath like awe in the picture!

But the fun didn't stop there. We did everything from visiting (and actually living with) farm animals. Our alarm clock was the 5am (or so it felt like) roster crow along with the cows mooing next door. The kids gathered eggs when we needed them. The cat had just given birth about 2 weeks prior so we got to see her baby kittens. We went on fun walks.
We rode everywhere in a car that runs on grease.

We picked wild blackberries.

Aja gave us all a ride in the "thing."

Our kids had a blast with their cousins.

Noah and Jonah cleansed their ears.

Jonah took us crabbing!

And to visit a sweet light house.

We feasted on fresh crab. We had plain crab, pizza crab, crab salad, crab for breakfast...yummm!
And we had some fun at a gorgeous lake!

This was only part of it. They are a total blast!
